THEATRE: MONICA WICHFELD AND THE WORLD WAR IN THE SOUTH SEA ISLANDS

Happiness and Prosperity newest performance in the Ridehuset in Reventlowparken

Now it is time for the third performance, which will be staged at Lolland and Falster of 'Lykke & Fremgang'. This time it is a performance about the local landowner and freedom fighter Monica Wichfeld.

We meet Monica and her family as they return to their estate, Engestofte Estates, at the beginning of the war after several years in Italy. The performance describes how Monica and her children become involved in the local resistance work. It had fatal consequences for the landlady, but she was ultimately satisfied and proud of what she had accomplished.

The play was written by Claus Flygare. It will be directed by Madeleine Røn Juul & produced by Stine Pilt Olsen.

The performance is performed as a collaboration between professional actors and the local ensemble. Marie Askehave is seen in the role of Monica Wichfeld and Michael Moritzen is seen as Monica's husband, Jørgen Wichfeld.

The performance can be seen in the Ridehuset:

Friday 23 September at 19.30
Saturday 24 September at 19.30
Sunday 25 September at 15.00 p.m

You can buy tickets here

In connection with the performances, beer, water and wine are sold.
