Public transport

The monastery ruins are located approx. 10 min on foot from Maribo station, right next door Maribo Cathedral and the nature park The Maribo Islands. With a change in Nykøbing Falster, it only takes 1 hour and 45 minutes from Copenhagen H., and the train runs once an hour. Check Itinerary for departures and more information.

In addition, the ruin is located on the following cycle routes:
The National Cycle Route 8: Baltic Sea route – 820 km over Zealand, the islands, Funen and Jutland
In the land of sea eagles – 36 km around the beautiful Nature Park Maribosøerne

As well as relatively close to:
Safari by bike – 22 km which goes through Knuthenborg Safaripark
Forest, coast and wine – 41 km which starts in Maribo and takes you all the way up to Blan's harbour.

Parking
There are few parking spaces in front of the cathedral, and otherwise there is parking on the square in Maribo, only about a 5-minute walk from the MONASTERY RUINEN.

People with walking difficulties and wheelchair users
It should be noted that there is paving in the area, which may make it difficult for wheelchair users and those with walking difficulties. The ruin area itself is a grassy area and can therefore be damp at times.

Visually impaired
As the area is paved, it can be difficult to move around. All communication is in writing.

Hearing impaired
