City walk: Medieval Nykøbing

Join an exciting city walk in the character of the Middle Ages! What did Nykøbing look like? Why is the city where it does? And who really decided in the city? How did the king and the church make their mark on the city? And what did everyday life look like for an ordinary citizen?

Hear the answers to this - and much more when our talented medieval archaeologist Signe Fog Mogensen shows around our old town.

The tour goes from the king's castle in the north to the town's gathering point on the square and ends at the church and monastery in the south.

Make sure you have good footwear - there is a lot to see!

Meeting point: The castle ruins at Nordisk Films Cinemas, Slotsbryggen 5, 4800 Nykøbing F.
