Fire in the stove: visit the kitchen at Pederstrup

Visit the kitchen at Pederstrup when the housemaid lights up the large iron stove. Have a chat, help or just hang out and enjoy the warmth and scent when the past is brought to life.

The stove is possibly Denmark's oldest and largest functioning iron stove, and was installed in the kitchen at Pederstrup around 1850. After a thorough restoration, we can now again cook on the stove as more than 150 years ago.

When the stove is lit up, it is possible to buy coffee, juice and cake, which can be enjoyed in the old wine cellar or out by the lake shore.
