Concert: Gangspil plays from Reventlow's sheet music

Join us on an unforgettable musical journey when the award-winning trio Gangspil opens Reventlow's sheet music and presents the hottest dance tunes of the time!

When the corona hit and Denmark closed down, the well-known folk music trio Gangspil began to dive into one of Lolland's most interesting sheet music books from the 1700th century: Reventlow's sheet music book from 1799.

This afternoon, the audience will be able to experience the music that 200 years ago was played in the same living rooms. Here, Reventlow's family has danced to the tunes, which gradually became so popular that they slipped into the repertoire of local musicians.

The trio is a guarantor of an entertaining and varied journey through Danish folk music, and will no doubt also take us to other parts of the country. So expect everything from wild polkas and jigs to lyrical waltzes, sweeping reels and happy hopsas spiced with humor and stories from their many years on the road.

Walking games consist of:

  • Kristian Bugge (violin and vocals)
  • Sonnich Lydom (harmonica, accordion and vocals)
  • Malene Beck (piano and Indian harmonium)
