Special event: Stormfloden 1872
We mark the 150th anniversary of Stormfloden 1872 with a special event beyond the usual!
In collaboration with the authors Peter Aakjær and Erik Buch, Guldborgsund Municipality and Folketidende, Museum Lolland-Falster invites you to an exciting afternoon with lectures, book launches and panel discussions about the storm surge, its consequences, impacts and perspectives in relation to future climate adaptation.
Provisional program (subject to change):
Kl. 14-14-40: lecture with museum inspectors and archaeologists Bjørnar Måge and Marie Brinch.
Kl. 14.40-15.00: Questions and short break.
Kl. 15-15.40: lecture with Erik Buch and Peter Aakjær on the occasion of their book publication about the storm flood 1872.
Kl. 15.40-16.10: Questions and break. Possibility to buy a book.
Kl. 16.10-16.50: Panel discussion with speakers and a representative from Guldborgsund Municipality. Questions are taken from the floor.
Kl. 16.50-17.00: Rounding off and thanks for today.
The event will be held at Folketidende in Nykøbing Falster.

The event is part of Museum Lolland-Falster's celebration that in 2022 it will be 150 years since Lolland and Falster were hit by the violent storm surge in 1872.
Unless otherwise stated, the event will be held in Danish.
