Theatre: Monica Wichfeld and the World War

Experience the exciting and touching story of one of Lolland-Falster's bravest women!

Monica Wichfeld was the landlady of Engestofte Estate during the Second World War – and a leading figure in a local resistance group that fought against the German occupation forces. Unfortunately, her resistance ended in a German concentration camp, where she, as the only Danish woman during World War II, was sentenced to death.

For the first time, her story is now experienced in a dramatic setting written by Claus Flygare. The play is directed by Madeleine Røn Juul and produced by Stine Pilt Olsen. The performance is performed in an interaction between professional actors and a local ensemble.

The performance is part of the project 'Lykke og Fremgang'.
