Season opening: Walpurgis Night

Do you believe in mysterious creatures, witches and trolls? 

The evening between 30 April and 1 May is Valborgsaften - and here great forces are at stake! Supernatural beings peep out of their hiding places and herbs picked on Valborgsaften have 9 times more power than on all other evenings.  

In the village one gathers, lights bonfires and performs ancient rituals. You stay up all night and make sure in this way that the evil is scared away and you have a good season.  

Here at the museum, we also wish you a good summer, so come and help scare the evil away when the Frilandsmuseet De Gamle Huse opens the doors to a new season.  

On arrival, everyone is given a small Valborg kit.
